John Addink, Co-founder with Larry LeMay, President
A-G Sod Farms is proud to congratulate our president, Larry LeMay, on his appointment as Turfgrass Producers International (TPI) president for 2026. With more than 30 years at A-G Sod Farms, Larry has built a respected and enduring presence in the turfgrass industry. His experience and expertise were featured in TPI Turf News.
Throughout his career, Larry has been actively involved in several industry organizations, including TPI. His contributions reflect not only a deep passion for the field, but also a strong commitment to advancing education, sustainability, and the continued growth of natural turfgrass products.
Larry’s connection to agriculture began at a young age, growing up while his father managed an 85,000 acre diversified farming operation. A pivotal meeting with A-G Sod Farms founder John Addink led to a lifelong mentorship and introduced Larry to the sod industry. In 1994, he joined A-G Sod Farms overseeing the farm in Stockton, CA. He quickly advanced to overseeing up to 9 farms, eventually becoming president of the company.
After years of active participation in TPI through meetings and industry events, Larry joined the organization’s board of directors in 2020. Now, as TPI president for 2026, he looks forward to a year of opportunity and continued progress for both the association and the turfgrass industry as a whole.
