A-G Sod Farms - Maintenance

WATERING:: After establishment, water 3 or more times per week during warm weather. In cooler weather, water once or twice per week. Give special attention to slopes and mounds where runoff occurs; more frequent and shorter watering times may be necessary. More frequent and shorter watering times may also be required on sandy soils.
FERTILIZING:: Maintain an adequate fertilization program. Consult with your nursery or garden center for recommendations.
FOOT TRAFFIC:: Keep pet and foot traffic off the new lawn for the first 10 days. Allow only very light traffic for an additional 4 weeks.
MOWING:: Wait at least 7 days after your sod lawn has been installed before mowing.
WEED CONTROL:: Use extreme caution and care when choosing chemical weed controls. Be safe and consult your nursery or garden center for the proper use of insecticides.
INSECTS:: Apply insecticides according to the manufacturer's recommended rate. Be safe and consult your nursery or garden center for the proper use of insecticides.
DISEASE:: A-G Sod Farms takes extra care to protect our sod from disease, so common disease problems are less likely to happen. If a problem is suspected, act quickly and contact your nursery or garden center for the correct disease control products.
